THE INFLUENCE OF DENSITY ON THE RESPONSE OF A SUB-SURFACE NEUTRON MOISTURE GAUGE

  • On the basis of the three-group diffusion theory, the neutron macroscopicparameters and the thermal neutron spatial distribution in the sand arecalculated by BASIC programme. The response curve of the subsurface moisturegauge and it's influence of density are also calculated as the source--detectorgeometry of the probe is selected in different designs.
