  • This paper deals with a method of experimentally calibrating the detectionefficiency for X--ray. Radioisotopes were used as calibration X--ray sources. Thecharacteristic X--ray emitted from the radioisotopes was neither diffraction norfilter. Detection efficiencies of the proportional counter for two different energyX--ray were simultaneously obtained in one measurement with proper treatment.
