AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION FOR ACCURACY OF MEASURING VOID FRACTION BY γ-ATTENUATION TECHNIQUE IN TWO-PHASE FLOW

  • The most widely used technique for the measurement of void fraction intwo--phase flow is the γ--ray attenuation method. In the present work themeasuring accuracy of "one shot" method has been studies. Lucite mockups, mechined to simulate actual flow conditions, are used. The experimental studiesindicated that the typical measuring accuracy of "one--shot" method was betterthan±10%.
