PROBLEMS ON QUANLITY FACTOR FOR NEUTRON RADIATION

  • Quanlity factor Q is an important parameter for use in radiation protection. The origin of the existing Q values and the debate about its validity arebriefly reviewed. It is suggested that the existing Q values can still be used inradiation protection regulations. But it would be better that, when performingoptimization analysis involving neutron protection, the ICRP 1985 recommendationfor increasing neutron Q value be considered
