AGE DEPENDENCE OF SPECIFIC EFFECTIVE ENERGY IN CALCULATION OF INTERNAL DOSE

Based on the relationship between specific effective energy (SEE) and otherphysical parameters (energy and type of radiation emitted, mass, size and shapeof organs, and between source organse and target distance organs), the methodused for the calculation of age dependent values of specific effective energy wasdescribed for several types of radiation. In order to assess their significance ofSEE for in calculation of internal dose for the general public, the mean ratiosof SEE for persons of less than 20 years of age to those for the adult were given.
