  • Another new project of permanent multipole magnets is described. In thisdesign, the magnet is composed of permanent magnet segments with varied width.Due to the modulation of the width of the segments, by using radially magnitizedsegments, pure 2N pole magnetic field can be built in ideal 2--dimensional case.The 2--dimensional spatial expressions of the scaler potential of the magnetic fieldare given.
