Abstract

The preparation of self--supporting isotopic samarium targets in thicknesses of90--110 μg/cm~2 using vacuum reduction--distillation is described. The targetthicknesses are measured with a spectrophotometer. The releasing agent and thedistance from the crucible to the substrate are the main factors in the successfulpreparation of these targets.
