SOME PROBLEMS AND SUGGESTIONS ON RADWASTE MANAGEMENT IN CHINA

In the "Experts Symposium for the Prediction of the Chinese Radiation Pro-tection in 2000" held in July 6--11, 1985 at Taian city, most of the participantsrecognized that the radioactive waste management will be one of the very impo-rtant issues to China by the time of 2000 according to the program of nuclearenergy development in China. This paper describes that attention should earnestlybe paid to the five problems on this issue, and it is necessary to solve theseproblems as soon as possible. These problems include legislation, organization, pro-gram. finance and international co--operation, Some suggestions for solving theseproblems were presented in this paper.
