DETERMINATION OF ~(227)Ac IN ENVIRONMENTAL AND FOOD SAMPLES

  • The determination is based on the coprecipitation of ~(227)Ac with PbSO_4 toseparate it from the bulk solution of dissolved sample, followed by removal ofRa by coprecipitation with BaSO_4 in DTPA and extraction of Ac with HDEHPLow back-ground alpha-counting is used for the determination of the amount of~(227)Ac with a sensitivity of 10~(-5) Ci per gram of ashed sample.
