DEVELOPMENT OF AN EXTRMELY LARGE VOLUME (>200cm~3) COAXIAL HPGe DETECTOR AND CHARACTERIZATION

  • This pape describes fabrication of an extremely large volume (~220cm~3) HPGecoaxial detector and its characterization. The various factors of contributions todetector reselution were analysed. For ~(60)Co-1.33 MeV γ-ray, detector resolutionFWHM=2.30±0.02keV, relative efficiency η=44.56%, the symmetry of peakFWTM/FWHM=1.90. For 2.60MeV γ-ray, the detector rcsolution FWHM=3.10keV.
