CORRROSION AND PROTECTION OF PWR STEAM GENERATORS

PWR steam generators have experienced a variety of corrosion problemsincluding stress corrosion cracking, phospate wastage, denting and pitting. Thispaper presents an overview of operating experience in PWR steam generators withparticular emphasis on various types of corrosion cracking and short-and long-termcorrective actions being pursued by industry to resolve those problems.
