THE EFFECTS OF MICROHARDNESSES AND FRICTION COEFFICIENTS OF GCr15 AND Cr4Mo4V BEARING MATERIALS BY ION IMPLANTATION

  • Some experimental results of microhardnesses and friction coefficients of GCr15and Cr4Mo4V bearing materials which were implanted with Cr、Mo、N and B ionsare reported in this paper. It is found that the microhardnesses increase and thefriction coefficients are reduced by Cr、Mo、N and B ion implantation for twomaterials. The friction coefficients of Cr+Mo+N, Cr+Mo+B ion implantedsamples are reduced to 1/3 of the unimplanted samples.
