  • The thin target technique is usually applicable to XRF analysis in humanhair sample. But it is necessary to consider matrix absorption effect and then tocorrect the relative efficiencies. Variation of relative efficiency of calcium (Ca),which is the important content in the matrix, is measured with "dilution metering"and variation of relative efficiencies of Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pb, Se, Sr, ismeasured with addition of the standard solutions. The error of this correctionmethod is also discussed.
