STUDIES ON THE EXTRACTION OF Eu~(3+) BY MEANS OF ELECTROSTATIC PSEUDO LIQUID MEMBRANE

  • A new type liquid membrane——electrostatic pseudo liquid membrane issuccessfully applied to the extraction of Eu~(3+) by a new extractant P5709. Effectson the extraction efficiency by the concentration of extractant, initial pH of feedsolution, electric field voltage and flow rate of feed are experimentally studied. The results of experiments show that the electrostatic pseudo liquid membraneis suitable for extracting Eu~(3+) by P5709. The extraction percentage from feedsolution containing 780 ppm Eu~(3+) reaches about 95% in the extraction cell, whileEu~(3+) is enriched by 50 times in the stripping cell. The duration time of aqueousdroplets in electric field is only 4 seconds.
