  • A thermal neutron filter of Si single crystal was designed and installed onBe-filter detector neutron spectrometer. Under the condition of transmission forthermal neutrons being 70-80%, the ratio of signal to background of inelasticincoherent thermal neutron scattering could raise about 2 times in the region ofmedium energy measured.
