POINT SOURCE SIMULATION METHOD OF EFFICIENCY FOR Ge(LI) SPECTROMETER

  • The efficiency of a Ge (Li) spectrometer is calibrated with point source simulation method. The functional relation between the efficiency and point source positions and analytical formula of efficiency for volumetric sample are presented. The self-absorbtion of volumetric sample is also corrected. The feasibility of the method is tested by using the efficiency for analysis of natural γradioactivity in soil sample.
