  • The paper introduces the structure and measures results of the BGO anti-compton shield which is built for the in beam γ ray experimental set up of theHeavy Ion Reaserch Facility Lanzhou (HIRFL). Its energy resolution is less than35% (~(137)Cs), risetime of the output is 400 ns, and the average compton suppression factor is 6-7.
