DISSOLUTION OF HYDROLYZED TITANIUM PRECIPITATE AND REGENERATION OF RESIN POISONED BY TITANIUM

  • The insoluble titanium dioxide which is produced from hydrolysis of Ti~(4+) canbe dissolved rapidly in hot solution containing 0.25 mol/1 NaOH and a definitequantity of H_O_2. A ion exchange resin poisoned by the titanium dioxide precipi-tate can be regenerated with 2 mol/1 HCl and above mentioned solution. Theperformance of resin regenerated did not change.
