EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF α-LiIO_3 SINGLE CRYSTAL BECOMING THE CRYSTAL WITH A GRADIENT IN THE LATTICE SPACING BY THE ACTION OF DC FIELD

  • Under the action of a DC field, the neutron diffraction intensity of α-LiIO_3single crystal is enhanced and the width of the rocking curve is widened. Acoo-rding to the appreciable dependence of the widths of the rocking curve on theincident neutron wavelength, it is shown that α-LiIO_3 single crystal becomes thecrystal with a gradient in the lattice spacing with the application of a DC fieldalong the crystallographic C-axis.
