RESEARCH ON IRRADIATION DAMAGE OF CLADDING MATERIALS BY LIGHT ION BOMBARDMENT UNDER THE EXPERIMENTAL FBR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

The research plan of irradiation damage of cladding materials by light ion(proton and alpha particle) bombardment under the experimental FFR project isintroduced. The features of irradiation damage of cladding materials by light ionand heavy ion bombardment and the possibility of doing this resesarch by usingexisting equipment are discussed. Recent research progress, including the preparationof target chamber and the research on irradiation of 316 stainless by 1.5 MeVproton and 1.8 MeV alpha bombardment at 500℃, is explained.
