A STUDY OF SOLVENT EXTRACTION OF NIOBIUM FROM NITRIC ACID SOLVTION Ⅲ. THE EXTRACTION OF NIOBIUM WITH IRRADIATED TBP

  • The paper describes the behaviour of extraction of niobium with irradiatedTBP from different aqueous solutions, and washing of niobium in loading organicphase. The irradiated TBP bore the doses at 1×10~3~7.5×10~5 Gy. The effect ofmolybdenum and uranium and flourine on the extraction of niobum with irradiatedTBP is shown. It was observed that an interfacial crud has not relevance to D_(Nb)but niobium--95 adsorbs on the interfacial crud. HDBP causes increasing D_(Nb) in theextraction of niobium with irradiated TBP. There is an antisynergism between TBPand HDBP in extraction, it limits extraction of niobium with TBP irradiated. Mo-lybdenum in aqueous phase weakens the antisynergism between TBP and HDBP inextraction, so that molybdenum can promote that D_(Nb) increases with irradiated doseof TBP.
