Abstract
Dewatering and drying the radioactive spent resins generated from nuclear power plants are studied in laboratory. A simple way is filtering and heat- drying the resins in vacuum. The important parameters of the process are determined. After filtering under vacuum the percentage of water in cation is about 53%~57%. By means of heat-drying in vacuum the water content of cation resin, anion resin and mixed bed resin can be further decreased to 46%~48%, 30% and40%, respectively. The resins treated have good mobility. The operation time is about six houts.
