Abstract
In the work, sorption and migration behaviours of Sr and Cs on crushed granite are studied. A small type of sorption column is designed. FCV determination is performed by use of both HTO and ~(125)I~-. Both ~(85,89)Sr and ~(134)Cs which contained a small amount of non-active carriers are used as tracers and elution curves on crushed granite column with Sr and Cs are made. R_d values from column and batch experiment are calculated and compared with each other. Results show that the designed sorption column is satisfactory for crushed rock column experiments. There is essentially no difference in the FCV values obtained with HTO or with ~(125)I~-. Elution curves for Sr and Cs only have a single broad peak of the elution curve, no irreversible sorption phenomenon on the granite is found. The sorption ra-tio for Sr on the granite used in the experiments varies with Sr concentration(10~(-3)~10~(-3)mol/l). The R_d value from column technique is close to that from batch experiment for the similar weight ratio of Sr to granite.
