EXTRACTION OF URANIUM (Ⅵ) BY BIDENTATE ORGANOPHOSPHORUS EXTRACTANT DHDECMP

  • The paper summarizes the results of the extraction ratio of uranium (Ⅵ) from nitric acid medium by the bidentate extractant dihexyl-N, N-diethyl carbamyl methylene phosphonate (DHDECMP) in diethylbenzene (DEB). The extraction of uranium (Ⅵ) is studied as a function of different concentrations of uranium (Ⅵ), nitric acid, sodium nitrate and extractant, respectively. The extraction equilibrium data at various temperature (20—70℃) are obtained. The stripping conditions of uranium from the pregnant organic phase are also investigated. According to the experimental results it is shown that DHDECMP is a suitable extractant for uranium(Ⅵ ) from nitric acid medium.
