BEAM ENVELOPE EQUATIONS COUPLING THE LONGITUDINAL AND TRANSVERSE MOTION IN LINAC

  • The beam envelope equations coupling the longitudinal and transverse motion in an electron linac are derived for studying the beam behaviour not only in the actions of RF force, magnetic force, electrostatic force, and space charge force, but also in taking account of the current variation during the bunching process.
