DETERMINATION OF SO_4~(2-) IN HIGH-LEVEL LIQUID WASTE BY MEANS OF Pb ION SELECTION ELECTRODE

  • The determination methed of SO_4~(2-) concentration in high-level liquid radioactive waste (HLLW) by means of Pb ion selection electrode is developed. A column of 0.3 g activated aluminium oxide is used for seperation of trace SO_4~(2-) from a large number of interfering ions in HLLW. The SO_4~(2-) concen tration is determined by potential titration of Pb(NO_3)_2 standard solution in 80% (V/V) acetone-water system. The relative standard deriation is within 5.0% and the recorery ratio is 95%—101%.
