THE PERFORMANCE COMPARISON OF FIVE KINDS OF SOLID STATE NUCLEAR TRACK DETECTER (SSNTD) FOR RADON AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPARK COUNTER

  • The relative error, lower level of detection (LLD) and detectable efficiency of five kinds of SS-NTD for radon are compared, and one of them is recommended. The circuit, the size of thick electrodeand the weight of spark counter are researched. For varying thick electrode diameter (φ11, φ16,φ21) of spark counter, the upper linearity limit of track density are 5000, 4600 and 4000 tracks/cm~2, respectively.
