THEORETICAL CORRECTION ON MEASURING NEUTRON DOSE EQUIVALENT FOR THE INTERMEDIATE ENERGY HEAVY ION REACTION WITH THE 10-in SINGLE-SPHERE rem-METER

  • Neutrons produced in intermediate energy heavy ion reaction has rather complex energy spectrumand that will changes remarkably through the shielding. Consider the energy response of the rem--meter,one estimated the theoretical correction coefficient on measuring neutron dose equivalent for the inter-mediate energy reaction with the 10--in single--sphere rem--meter outside concrete shielding based uponthe theoretical neutron spectrum and angular distribution and upon estimated change of the neutronspectrum outside concrete shielding.
