  • The ion species in ion sources of hydrogen or deuterium at lower energy are determined byanalysing the Doppler shift spectroscopy. Coefficients for species calculation are derived from the parti-cle collision cross sections. The ion components are measured using a mass spectrometer and calculationformulae for species are given. The species results determined in the two ways are in quite agreement.
