  • The paper summarizes radioactive iodine chemical form in PWR severe accidents. iodinechemical behavior in sefety spray process, radiolysis chemistry of iodide solution, compatibility ofsefety spray solution and materials. It is demonstrated that the addition of NaOH in the contain-ment spray solution is necessary.
