Shield of an Electron Irradiation Accelerator With Energy of 2.5 MeV

  • The principles and calculation methods of shielding layer thickness for an electron irradiation accelerator with maximum energy of 2.5 MeV and maximum beam intensity of 40 mA are presented. Practical measurment data show that the radiation level outside the shielding is lower than the national standard, and so the design is reasonable.
