  • The elastic module and strengthes of glasses are calculated from their compositions. And the buckling (or compressive) and fracture failure pressures of hollow glass microspheres (HGM) with six different glass compositions are calculated by some empiric formulae. The calculated failure pressures of HGM are in good agreement with those from experiment.
