  • The dependence of LiF thermoluminescent dosimeter’s response on LET of the ionizing particle is preliminarily investigated.In this investigation,ionizing particles are mainly neutrons,involved thermal neutrons,intermediate neutrons and fast neutrons (0.018~0.945 MeV) resulting from 7Li(p,n) 7Be and T(p,n) 3He nuclear reaction and 14 MeV neutrons. The result of experiment shows that the dependence of LiF(Mg,Cu,P)thermoluminescent dosimeter’s response on LET of the ionizing particle is very significant. For neutrons of higher energy, TL reading-out from LiF-TLD is corresponding to LiF-TLD’ absorbed dose deliviried only by 7Li and 6Li, which is consistent with the report by some literatures._
