Abstract
The cementation formulation and technology for radioactive liquid waste containing 3 8× 10 5 Bq/L 60 Co, 6 67×10 5 Bq/L 152 Eu and total radioactivity 2×10 7 Bq are studied. The results show that both fluidity and setting time increase and the compression strength decreases with increasing water cement ratio. The properties of cement waste forms of recommended formulations meet the characteristic requirements for solidified waste of low and intermediate level liquid waste. The major properties of the cement mortar are as follows: fluidity is greater than 130 mm, compression strength in 28 d is greater than 7 MPa, and leaching rate in 42 d is 1 84×10 -4 cm/d for 60 Co and 2 76×10 -5 cm/d for 152 Eu(additive cement ratio 0.15), 5 47×10 -4 cm/d for 60 Co and 1 55×10 -4 cm/d for 152 Eu(no additive), the accumulative leaching fraction of gross β in 42 d is 1 7×10 -2 cm(additive cement ratio 0.15) and 3 5×10 -2 cm(no additive).
