Abstract
The dynamic adsorption behavior of Zr on silica xerogel with a size of nano meter and the selective adsorption of Zr from simulated high level liquid waste are studied experimentally. Decreasing flow velocity and acidity of adsorbed solution and increasing temperature are favorable for the adsorption of Zr, and the smaller particle size of silica xerogel causes the lesser breakthrough volume of adsorption column for Zr. The Zr in simulated high level liquid waste can selectively adsorbed on the silica xerogel column, while the adsorption from others can ignore except for Fe and Mo.
