Simulation of the High Resolution Neutron Powder Diffractometer at China Advanced Research Reactor

  • The high resolution neutron powder diffractometer(HRPD) at China advanced research reactor is simulated by Monte Carlo simulation technique. The resolution curves,neutron flux density and effective neutron beam size at sample position are given. Differences in resolutions and intensity between the high resolution mode and the high intensity mode are discussed. It's shown the design is feasible.
