  • Based on many references of cold neutron sources(CNS) from all over the world, an analysis for the application and its development is done, and a comparison of various moderator fluids and phases, different refrigeration cycles and precooling methods are conducted. The cruxes of constructing a CNS are pointed out accor ding to the experience in the paper.
