  • Progress in the researches of structure and surface properties of metal tritides film, 3He releasing from metal tritides and new materials for tritide targets used in recent years is summarized in the paper. In addition, the working principles, preparation process and the necessary performances of tritide targets in particle accelerators and hermetically sealed neutron tube are reviewed briefly. These performances include the high tritium density storage, high heat stability, low 3He releasing ratio and great anti pulverization ability. Some ideas concerned in research of tritide targets materials used in neutron generators such as the design and preparation of new metal tritide material, structure study of metal tritide film and 3He releasing behavior study etc. are suggested.
