The paper introduces techniques of preparing isotopic iron targets including hydrogen reduction of Fe 2O 3, melting of Fe powder and preparation of iron targets. The minimum thickness of 50 and 360 μg/cm 2 of self supporting 56 Fe targets have been obtained with focused ion beam sputtering and rolling, respectively.
