  • Longlifed radioactivities induced by 14 MeV neutrons in vanadium is measured, using a HPGe detector. The ratio of crosssection of 50V(n,α)47Sc to 51V(n,α)48Sc is determined to be 0.58±0.05 under DT neutrons, and hence the 50V(n,α)47Sc crosssection is obtained to be (8.7±0.7)×10-27 cm2. The composition of impurities and the lives of their longlifed radiation are measured.
