Application of Wavelet Transform on Acoustic Leak Detection for Steam Generators in Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactor

A method detecting water/steam leaks of steam generators in liquid metal fast breeder reactor(LMFBR) is described, which is based on the principle of singularity detection of wavelet transform according to the data from the acoustic leak detection system of sodium loop in the liquid metal lab of Tsinghua University. The methods are proved to be effective to improve the sensibility of acoustic leak detection system and detect the time of leaks correctly. 
