  • The variations of the mass and the surface appearance of decontaminated material, 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel, were studied in the electrochemical decontaminating process. It is found that the material surface becomes smooth following the mass loss in the decontaminating process. The corrosion resistance properties were tested by measuring anode polarization of the decontaminated stainless steel specimen, and it indicates the corrosion resistance property is not reduced after decontamination.
