  • Effect of the size of cold neutron source on neutron fluence rate at exit of guide system in China Advanced Research Reactor(CARR) is studied with MonteCarlo simulation technique and coincident results are obtained from different software, which may provide bases for design on the size of cold neutron source from the view point of requirement by neutron guides. For the 58Ni guide and supermirror guide with m=2, the size of 18 cm×30 cm and 22 cm×36 cm, respectively, is needed to saturate both integral neutron fluence rate and fluence rate at wavelength of 2 nm.
