  • Linear attenuation coefficient image reconstruction is an important problem in tomographic gamma scanning(TGS). The MonteCarlo statistical iteration image reconstruction algorithm according to particle transport theory and MonteCarlo method is presented. Simulating results indicate that the image reconstruction errors are reduced greatly by the new reconstruction algorithm comparing with general TGS algorithm. It can meet the requirements of TGS device.
