  • Cold quasi-isostatic molding with a silicon rubber die was used for manufacturing the spherical fuel elements of 10 MW high temperature gas-cooled reactor. 44 batches of fuel elements, about 20 540 of the fuel elements, were produced. The cold properties of the graphite matrix materials satisfies the design specifications. The mean free uranium fraction in spherical fuel element from 44 batches is 4. 57×10-5, certified products is 99%.
