Abstract
The thermodynamic analysis is carried out for the reaction of liquid uranium and its alloy with some coating materials at high temperature and the curves of △G0 of those reactions with temperature are obtained. The chemical stability of those coating materials to liquid uranium and its alloys is analyzed and compared. It is found that yt-tria has a good stability to liquid uranium and its alloys at high temperature, and it is well suitable for coating of graphite crucible for melting uranium and its alloys.
