  • Vector potential and expanded forms of magnetic field play a very importantrole in accelerator physics investigation. Begin with the different expended forms of vec-tor potential, the Laplace equation of vector potential is solved and three general expres-sions used in accelerator physics are obtained. In addition, the difference of these ex-pressions and the influence caused by the difference are presented. As a conclusion, theapplications of these expressions are also given.
