  • A benchmark of iron shell with a series of thickness of 3,6,11,16 and 21.8 cm was established. The leakage gamma-ray energy spectrum emitted by iron sphere from D-T neutron was measured using BC-501A spectrometer, the energy range was 0.5~5 MeV. From the (analysis) of gamma-ray spectrum, the effect of iron shell's thickness on the spectra was found. The measured results are compared with that from calculated by using MCNP4A mode and (t-2,) ENDF/B-Ⅴ, ENDF/B-Ⅵ and FENDL-2 data banks. The overall experimental error of (gamma)-ray spectrum is 4%~6%.
