  • This work is based on the national standard of China GB11219.1-89(determination of plutonium in soil--extraction chromatography method).()~(238)Pu is used as a yield tracer, and the electroplating source is counted with a low background α-spectro-(meter). The()~(239+240)Pu contents in the soil samples from near a nuclear facility and two IAEA reference materials, IAEA-Soil-6 and IAEA-375 are determined using this (method). A good agreement is achieved between our results and the IAEA reference (values) within 95% confidence, the corresponding relative deviation is -3.8% and (-2.3%), respectively for IAEA-Soil-6 and IAEA-375.
