Dynamic Theoretical Model and Calculation of Combined Electrolysis Catalysis Exchange Heavy Water Detritiation System

  • Dynamic theoretical model for heavy water detritiation combined electrolysis catalysis exchange system was built to investigate the tritium space distribution and dynamic behavior. The overall height of catalyst bed as well as the optimal feeding point was obtained for different detritiation efficiency under specific mass transfer coefficient of catalysts. The calculated tritium space distribution is consistent with Canada pilot scale experiment result and the tritium concentration increases linearly with time in electrolysis cell.
